Maintaining Human Rights during Health Emergencies: Brief on Standards Regarding the Right to Information, May 2020

 

The COVID-19 pandemic has created both significant burdens for governments and new operational challenges. However, the right to information is also of heightened important during a public health crisis. In this Brief, CLD examines how States have responded to the pandemic’s impacts on RTI systems and analyses the international standards that should guide State behaviour in this area.
