In 2023, the Centre for Law and Democracy prepared a short (approximately 120 minute), self-paced, free online course for Advocacy Assembly titled “Using Strategic Litigation to Combat Internet Shutdowns”.

This course focuses on how to use strategic litigation to contest the imposition of Internet shutdowns and to seek remedies for disruptions where they do occur. It is designed primarily for campaigners and advocates who are seeking to expand their campaign work by using strategic litigation.

As of April 2026, the course is no longer hosted on Advocacy Assembly’s website, but you can now enroll in the English version of the course here.

Arabic, French, Persian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swahili versions of the course will be uploaded soon, and links to those versions will be added here.
