Joint Declaration by Special Rapporteurs on Freedom of Expression and Gender Justice

 

On 3 May 2022, the specialised mandates tasked with promoting and protecting freedom of expression at the UN, OAS, OSCE and African Commission launched their annual statement, the Joint Declaration, this year on freedom of expression and gender justice. The Joint Declaration, which was drafted with the assistance of the Centre for Law and Democracy, sets out actions and measures which States and a range of non-State actors should take so as to promote greater gender justice in the area of freedom of expression.
